2026 launch cycle
Celebrating last month’s winner
Once the panel confirms the winner and runner-up, their approved recognition stories will be celebrated here.
A strong nomination
The panel selects one winner and one runner-up using evidence and impact—not the number of nominations.
Fair, clear and evidence-led
These rules apply alongside the published timetable and help keep recognition consistent for everyone.
Nominees must be Bright Futures Accommodation employees during the month being recognised. Self-nominations are not accepted.
Except for the August–September launch arrangement, nominations close at 11:59pm on the final calendar day of the month. Results are announced within 10 calendar days.
The panel considers the example, impact and BRIGHT values demonstrated. The highest number of nominations does not decide the result.
A colleague may be nominated more than once and may win Employee of the Month more than once. Duplicate nominations are not treated as extra votes.
Only Employees of the Month are eligible for Employee of the Year. A runner-up can later win a monthly award and then become eligible.
Home Managers and colleagues in more senior roles can still be nominated and receive monthly recognition and the applicable voucher, but cannot receive the Employee of the Year holiday prize.
Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash alternative. Gift vouchers are issued in the provider and format selected by Bright Futures Accommodation.
Bright Futures Accommodation makes the final destination, booking and travel arrangements. Travel and the five additional paid-leave days must be taken on dates approved around operational needs.
The panel may verify information and exclude inappropriate, incomplete or confidential content. Bright Futures Accommodation may make reasonable scheme changes where necessary and will publish any material update.
